Tap… tap… is this thing on? Come on, hop to it, Facebook!

Facebook is having trouble importing my (and lots of other people’s) blog entries to “Notes.” By which I mean Facebook is not importing my (and lots of other people’s) blog entries to “Notes.”

All my hilarious and leukemic antics of the past month (and sporadically before that) are missing from Facebook, including, but not limited to:

-A trip to Washington, D.C. to spend Independence Day with my sisters that I slept through!

-Apple geniuses not only repairing my graphics card, but also going so far as to give my laptop a shiny new casing!

-Fun with foot-and-mouth disease, a very painful mouth and throat disease that only animals and very lucky humans like leukemia patients get!

-And who could forget my conviction as being a Russian spy?

Classic! And much of that stuff actually happened!

I changed some settings and am hoping this blog entry will automatically be posted on Facebook, rather than only linking back to reidlevin.net. We shall see. Oh yes, we shall.

Stupid revisionist historians of facebook. It’s almost the equivalent of submitting a script for review in person, discussing the script at length and then on your way out, having to listen to them ask, “So, when do you think you’ll have the script ready?”

” I just gave you the script.”

“Oh, you did not!”

“It’s in your hand.”

“I don’t have a hand.”

A while ago, Facebook blocked Tweets from being automatically imported as status updates. Which had previously been how they were always imported. Lots of people are upset and frustrated over this stuff, which at least has the appearance of Facebook trying to force people off of Twitter, WordPress, and anything else that isn’t Facebook. The good folks over at Facebook HQ need to take a break from updating their MySpace pages and get their acts together!

“Your hand is right there, holding the script!”

“I’m not here.”

Well I got this just fine. And, personally, I like to leave facebook- get out into the open air- open link in new tab, open link in new window, or just plain overwrite facebook entirely. So yeah. Reid dot net one, facebook dot com zero.

Marge, I like yer thinkin’. There’s an entire World Wide Web out here, and it’s wild and untamed. A Wild, Wild World Wide Web, as it were, a wwwww. A bold frontier that don’t need no Facebook or them fancy rules. Out here in the mighty unexplored expanses o’ the Internet, there’s just one word of advice that’s served me well: if someone tells you they’re some sorta prince in need of funds, you just keep on moseyin’ on by, partner. Just keep on moseyin’.
